How to Update Your Payment Method

Learn how to easily update the credit card on file for your account.

To prevent service interruptions, keep your automated marketing pipelines active, and ensure your tracking phone lines and email servers remain fully operational, it is crucial to maintain an active, verified payment method on file.

Whether your corporate credit card is nearing its expiration date, you are shifting accounts to a new banking institution, or you need to clear a temporary billing restriction, you can update your financial details securely from your account dashboard.

    The Secure Billing Vault Lifecycle

Scotify Solutions utilizes tokenized, PCI-compliant billing architecture. When you enter financial details, your sensitive data is encrypted instantly and handed off to our secure payment ledger, ensuring your raw card information is never exposed:

    User Inputs Card Details
    Instant Vault Encryption
    Secure Token Issued
    Active Account Status Locked

    Updating Your Subscription Card Step-by-Step

Modifying your primary credit card takes less than two minutes and can be executed by any user holding administrative master privileges.

    1

Navigate to the Platform Billing Center 1 min.

Log into your Scotify Solutions sub-account dashboard. Scroll to the bottom of the main left-hand sidebar navigation menu, click the Settings (gear icon), and select the Billing tab from the settings sub-menu.

    2

Locate Your Active Payment Card Block 1 min.

Inspect the Payment Method property container running along the top of your billing dashboard screen. This block displays your current card type on file, its trailing four digits, and its expiration date text. Click the Manage Payment Method button.

    3

Input Fresh Card and Billing Metadata 2 min.

A secure, encrypted billing modal window will appear. Input your new alphanumeric card parameter fields carefully:

    • Cardholder Name: Enter the exact legal name displayed on the physical plastic.
    • Card Parameters: Type the 16-digit card number, expiration month/year, and the 3 or 4-digit security code (CVV/CVC).
    • Billing Address Cohesion: Ensure the zip/postal code entry matches the precise address records held by your issuing banking branch to avoid automatic fraud-prevention declines.
    4

Authorize and Verify the New Payment Token 1 min.

Check the box confirming this card as your primary billing profile asset, then click Update Payment Method. Our back-end billing script will run an immediate, invisible micro-authorization check to verify the account is active, store the secure token string, and instantly close out the modal drawer.

Handling Past-Due Accounts and Invoicing History

If an automated renewal charge fails, our billing engine places the sub-account into a temporary Past-Due Grace Window.

    Revenue Protection: Resolving Service Suspensions

During a past-due event, your active funnels, websites, and data capture forms remain live to protect your business traffic, but internal communication dispatches (like outbound SMS and bulk email workflows) are temporarily paused to prevent over-limit liabilities.

The moment you update your card using the step-by-step sequence above, the billing engine automatically runs a collection attempt for the outstanding balance. Once successful, the database updates your status to Active within milliseconds, instantly restoring full communication capabilities across all active marketing tracks without requiring manual technical intervention from support teams.

    Troubleshooting & FAQ

Why is the billing panel throwing an "Authorization Failed / Zip Code Mismatch" error code when I hit save?

This error occurs when the security verification system detects a mismatch between the postal code entered in the form and the address your bank has on file for that card. Double-check your banking app or monthly statement to ensure your business street address and zip code match exactly, clear your browser data cache, and try running the update sequence again.

Can I save multiple credit cards to my account and split our monthly software costs across them?

While you can save a secondary backup card to your Billing Wallet to serve as a safety fallback if your primary card is declined, our accounting system cannot split a single billing invoice across multiple payment profiles. The master subscription balance will always be charged as a single transaction to whichever card is designated as your Primary Payment Method.

Where can I download copies of our historical past payment receipts for tax accounting reviews?

Scroll to the lower boundary of the master Billing settings tab to locate the Invoicing History Ledger. This section displays a chronological ledger of every subscription charge, wallet reload, and tax fee processed on your account. Click the Download icon next to any line item row to instantly generate a clean, line-itemized PDF invoice receipt for your accounting team.
