Manage Your Business Profile Information & Settings

Set up and manage your core brand identity and baseline system configurations.

Welcome to your Scotify Solutions platform! Setting up your Business Profile correctly is the foundational step to ensuring your automations, communications, branding, and legal compliance function seamlessly.

This guide will walk you through each section of your sub-account settings, explaining exactly what to fill out and how these settings impact your daily operations.

    1. General Information

This section controls your core brand identity and baseline system configurations.

    • Location ID: Found at the top right of the panel. This is a unique identifier for your specific sub-account. Keep this handy; if you ever need support from the Scotify team, providing this ID helps us assist you faster.
    • Business Logo: Upload your company logo here.
      • Specifications: Proposed size is 350px * 180px and must be under 2.5 MB.
      • Why it matters: This logo can be dynamically pulled into your email templates, invoices, and client-facing portals using system variables.
    • Friendly Business Name: The public-facing name your customers see (e.g., Scotify Solutions). This appears on customer-facing widgets, emails, and scheduling links.
    • Legal Business Name: The exact legal name of your entity as registered with the IRS or your local government.
      • Why it matters: This must match your EIN registration exactly. It is crucial for A2P 10DLC (SMS text messaging) compliance verification.
    • Business Email & Phone: Your primary company contact info. The system uses these as the default "From" fields for system notifications and outbound communication if no specific user is assigned.
    • Branded Domain & Business Website: Enter your subdomain tracking and main website URL. This helps the system track conversions and keep your funnel links aligned with your primary domain.
    • Business Niche & Currency: Define your industry and select your transactional currency.
      • Why it matters: Setting your currency ensures all your checkout pages, products, invoices, and pipelines display the correct monetary symbol.

    2. Business Information (Legal Structure & Compliance)

This section collects the precise legal classification of your company. Telephony providers and mobile carriers use this exact data to verify your brand identity before approving your account for outbound text messaging.

    • Business Type: Select the legal structure that matches your official tax documentation:
      • Co-operative
      • Corporation
      • Limited Liability Company Or Sole-Proprietorship
      • Non-profit Corporation
      • Partnership
    • Business Industry: Select your primary marketplace vertical from the dropdown list (e.g., Technology, Automotive, Banking, Consumer, Education, Engineering).
    • Business Registration ID Type & Number: Select your official regional registration type (such as USA: Employer Identification Number (EIN)) and input your official tax identification sequence into the Business Registration Number field.
      • Unregistered Businesses: If you operate as a casual hobbyist or an unverified sole proprietor without a tax ID, check the "My business is Not registered" box. (Note: Unregistered brands face stricter messaging caps and filtering thresholds from major cell carriers).
    • Business Regions of Operations: Check the boxes for all geographic regions where you actively market and do business (e.g., USA and Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America). This ensures proper routing and global compliance protocols are maintained.

    3. Business Physical Address & Localization

Accuracy in this section prevents compliance issues and ensures your marketing goes out at the right time.

    • Street Address, City, State, Zip, and Country: Enter your official business location.
      • Why it matters: Under the CAN-SPAM Act and global email compliance laws, your physical business address must be included in the footer of every marketing email you send. The platform automatically pulls this address into your email footers.
    • Time Zone: Select your local operating time zone (e.g., GMT-07:00 America/Los_Angeles).
      • Why it matters: This is critical for your automation workflows. If your time zone is configured incorrectly, scheduled text messages, email broadcasts, and appointment reminders will send at the wrong times.
    • Platform Language: Controls the default language of your dashboard and user interface.

    4. Authorized Representative

This section designates the primary point of contact responsible for the account.

    • First Name, Last Name, Email, Job Position, & Phone: Fill this out with the details of the business owner or account administrator.
      • Why it matters: This information is tied to your account's legal compliance profiles. When applying for text messaging capabilities (A2P 10DLC) or specialized phone numbers, phone carriers cross-reference this data with your Section 2 data to verify that a real, authorized individual is operating the system.

    5. Advanced Preferences & System Controls

These settings dictate how your data is organized and how legacy features are handled.

    General Checkboxes

    • Merge Facebook Contacts: Toggling these allows the system to automatically merge duplicate contacts coming from Facebook Messenger or Facebook Lead Forms if their names match.
    • Disable Contact Timezone: By default, the system calculates individual contact timezones to prevent texts from sending in the middle of the night. Checking this box turns off that safeguard.
    • Bot Detection: Prevents automated bot clicks from skewing your campaign triggers and statistics.

    Contact Deduplication Preferences

    • Allow Duplicate Contact: If enabled (toggled on), the system will allow multiple contact profiles to exist with the same email or phone number.
    • Recommendation: Keep this toggled off unless your specific business model requires separate profiles for family members sharing a single phone number/email. Keeping it off keeps your CRM clean.

    Enable / Disable Deprecated Features

    • Enable Campaigns & Triggers: These are older, legacy architecture logic patterns. While Workflows is the modern, vastly superior tool for all your automations, checking these boxes ensures any older assets you migrate over will still run successfully.
