Stop managing messy spreadsheets. Smart Lists are dynamic, auto-updating segments of your database that automatically add or remove contacts based on real-time filters.
1. Creating a Smart List
Building a Smart List allows you to save specific search criteria so you can access that segment with a single click in the future.
Apply Your Filters
Open the More Filters menu on the right side of the Contacts dashboard. Select your criteria (e.g., Tag is "VIP Customer").
Save as Smart List
Once the list filters down, click the Save as Smart List button (the plus icon next to the search bar) at the bottom of the screen.
Name Your List
Give it a clear, recognizable name like "Active VIPs" and click Save. It will now appear as a tab at the top of your Contacts view.
Pro-Tip
Smart Lists are the secret weapon for targeted email blasts. You can select a Smart List directly from the Email Builder to send a highly relevant campaign to a specific segment of your audience without manually selecting names.
