    Trigger Links

Track exact customer intent and trigger automated backend actions when contacts click custom URLs.

Standard hyperlinks can show you the overall percentage of people who clicked a link in an email blast, but they cannot help you take immediate, individualized action on the specific person who clicked. Inside your Scotify Solutions account, Trigger Links solve this problem completely.

Trigger Links allow you to embed custom URLs inside your SMS messages and emails. When a specific contact clicks that link, the system tracks their identity and instantly triggers automated backend actions based on their behavior. This turns passive readers into active automation catalysts.

    1. How Trigger Links Work

A standard link simply redirects a user to a website. A Trigger Link, however, acts as an invisible tripwire inside your Scotify Solutions account.

When you create a Trigger Link, the system generates a unique tracking version of your destination URL. The moment a lead taps that link in a text message or email, the system knows exactly who clicked it, what time they clicked it, and what communication channel they used. It then feeds this data directly into your automation builder to execute immediate business rules.

    2. Powerful Use Cases for Automation

By tracking exact customer intent, you can set up highly specific workflows inside your Scotify Solutions account. Here are common ways businesses leverage this tool:

    • Instant Tagging: If a lead clicks a link to view your premium services tier, you can automatically apply a tag like "Interested in Premium" to their contact profile.
    • Pipeline Acceleration: Automatically move a prospect from the "Lead" stage to the "Hot Prospect" stage in your sales pipeline the exact second they click your case study or pricing link.
    • The Delayed Follow-Up: Create an automation where if a contact clicks your booking link but does not schedule an appointment within one hour, the system automatically texts them a friendly reminder or an incentive.
    • Notification Alerts: Send an internal SMS notification directly to your sales representative stating: "John Doe just clicked the pricing link. Call them now while they are active."

    3. How to Set Up and Use Trigger Links

Setting up this feature takes less than two minutes and can be applied across all your marketing assets.

    Step 1: Create the Link

    1. Log into your Scotify Solutions account and navigate to the Marketing tab, then select Trigger Links.
    2. Click on Links and select Add Link.
    3. Give your link a clear, recognizable name (e.g., "June Promotion Landing Page").
    4. Paste the actual destination URL into the link box and click Save.

Step 2: Insert the Link into a Message

When drafting an email template, an SMS campaign, or a snippet inside your Scotify Solutions account, look at the formatting toolbar and click on the Trigger Links dropdown menu. Select your saved link. It will insert a piece of code that looks like {{ trigger_link.june_promo }}. When sent, this turns into the actual clickable tracking link for the recipient.

Step 3: Connect the Trigger to a Workflow

    1. Navigate to the Automation tab and create a new Workflow.
    2. Select Trigger Link Clicked as your workflow definition trigger.
    3. Filter the trigger by selecting the specific link you just created.
    4. Add your desired actions underneath, such as sending a notification, changing a pipeline stage, or applying a tag.

Pro-Tip: To maintain maximum deliverability and compliance with SMS mobile carriers, always use a clear call-to-action text right before your Trigger Link. Instead of just pasting the raw link code, format it inside your message like this: "Check out our pricing packages here: [Insert Trigger Link]". This provides clarity for the user and keeps your communication looking professional.
