Save QR Codes to Apple Wallet & Google Wallet

Let your team and customers save QR codes straight to their phone's wallet for instant, offline access at any touchpoint.

    New Feature QR Codes

Save QR Codes to Apple Wallet & Google Wallet

QR codes created in Scotify Solutions can now be saved directly to a user's Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Instead of digging through a camera roll or screenshot folder to find the right code, your team or your client's customers can pull it up with a single tap from their phone's wallet app, right alongside boarding passes, loyalty cards, and tickets.

This works for both new and existing QR codes. Nothing needs to be rebuilt or regenerated to take advantage of it.

    Why It Matters

Most QR code use is offline: a front-desk check-in, a table tent at an event, a punch card at checkout, a flyer handed to a customer. In those moments, "let me find the screenshot" is friction that costs conversions and looks unpolished.

Saving to a digital wallet fixes that:

    Faster access

No gallery scrolling. No "which screenshot was it?" Just a single tap from the wallet app.

    More professional presentation

Looks polished during in-person and offline interactions instead of fumbling through a camera roll.

    Self-labeled passes

Each pass shows useful details about the QR code so the user (or their customer) knows exactly what it is and what it's for, instead of a generic image.

    Branding carries through

Passes are designed per wallet platform (Apple vs. Google), and agency or client branding can be applied so the pass looks native to the wallet, not like a generic import.

This is also a forward-looking foundation, not a one-off add-on. The wallet functionality was built as its own standalone capability (with a reusable wallet API under the hood), which means more wallet-based features, including a dedicated wallet builder, are on the roadmap. Anything using QR codes today is positioned to inherit those upgrades automatically.

How to Implement It in Your Account

    1

    Locate your QR code

Go to your existing QR Codes list, or create a new one as you normally would. No special setup is required to enable wallet saving. It is available by default on all codes.

    2

Open the QR code detail view

You will see an Add to Wallet option built directly into the code's page.

    3

    Select the wallet

The user (you, your team, or the end customer) chooses Apple Wallet or Google Wallet depending on their device.

    4

    Confirm branding (if applicable)

If agency-level branding is configured, it will automatically be applied to the wallet pass design. No extra step needed on a per-code basis.

    5

    Test it

Save a code to your own device first to confirm the pass displays the correct QR type and details before rolling it out to a client-facing use case.

Where to Use This With Clients

    • Front-desk and check-in QR codes for events, appointments, and intake forms
    • Loyalty or punch-card style offers that customers return to again and again
    • Menus, flyers, and in-store signage where a customer scans once and wants repeat access
    • Any offline touchpoint where "pull up the code fast" matters more than "look it up online"

    Notes

Backend infrastructure is fully built out. A dedicated wallet builder UI is coming in a future release for more advanced customization.

No migration needed. Existing QR codes gain this capability automatically. Both new and previously created codes are ready to go.

    Pro-Tip

Test a wallet pass on your own phone before rolling it out to clients. Confirm the QR type, label, and branding all display correctly, then share it with confidence at the front desk or checkout.
