Every number, chart, and list on your dashboard is a widget. You can add new ones, change how they look, and rename them in plain language so anyone on your team can read the dashboard at a glance.
Add a Widget
Open Edit Mode
Go to the Dashboard tab and click Edit dashboard in the top right corner.
Open the Widget Panel
Click Add widget. A panel opens with four tabs: Widgets, Elements, Themes, and Custom metrics. Stay on Widgets for now.
Find the Widget You Want
Use the search bar to find a widget by name, or filter by chart type: All, Number, Donut, Line, Bar,Horizontal bar, or Table.
Add It and Save
Select the widget you want, add it to the dashboard, then click Save changes when you are done.
Choose the Right Chart Type
The same data can be shown several ways. Pick the format that answers your question fastest.
| Chart Type | Best For |
|---|---|
| Number | One headline figure, such as new leads this month, with a comparison to the previous period. |
| Line | A trend over time, such as leads per week. |
| Bar | Comparing periods side by side, such as appointments by month. |
| Donut | The share of a total, such as leads by source. Works best with five or fewer slices. |
| Table | A list of real records, such as your ten newest leads with phone number and source. |
Customize a Widget
Hover over a widget in edit mode, open its three-dot menu, and choose Edit. The Configure tab has these settings:
- Title: Rename the widget in plain language. "New leads this month" reads better than a technical name.
- Date property: Choose which date the widget filters on, such as the date a contact was created.
- Date range: By default, widgets follow the date range at the top of your dashboard. Set an override if one widget should always show a fixed window.
- Comparison date range: Leave this on the default so every widget compares against the same earlier period.
- Increase or decrease is positive: Controls which direction shows as good news. For numbers where lower is better, such as no-shows, cancellations, or cost per lead, choose Decrease is positive.
Some chart types add a few more settings:
- Donut: Choose what to group by (such as source, tag, or assigned user), the order, and how many slices to show.
- Line and Bar: Choose how to break the data out over time (daily, weekly, or monthly). You can also add a second metric to plot two lines on one chart.
- Table: Choose which columns to show, how to order the rows, and how many to list. Untick columns you do not need so the table stays readable.
Tips for a Cleaner Dashboard
- Use Weekly for weekly widgets and Monthly for monthly ones. Daily breakdowns can look jagged when volume is low.
- Keep tables to about ten rows.
- Rename every widget before you hand the dashboard to your team.
Data Refresh Note
Dashboard charts refresh on a rolling interval, typically every 15 to 30 minutes. A new lead or booking may take a few minutes to show up.
