    Filter a Widget with Conditions

Use conditions to limit what a dashboard widget counts, such as one lead source, one pipeline, or one service line.

Conditions control which records a widget counts. Use them when you want a widget to show only one pipeline, one lead source, one service line, or to leave out internal test contacts.

Conditions are saved with the widget, so they apply every time the dashboard opens.

    Add a Condition

    1

    Open the Widget Settings

In edit mode, hover over the widget, open its three-dot menu, and choose Edit. Then open the Conditions tab.

    2

    Pick a Field

Open the first dropdown and choose what to filter on. Common fields include Assigned user, Tags, Source, Custom fields, Email, and Phone number. The list depends on what the widget measures, so an appointment widget shows different fields than a contact widget.

    3

    Pick an Operator

The second dropdown unlocks after you choose a field. Operators vary by field, and commonly include Is, Is not, Is one of, Is empty, and Is not empty.

    4

    Enter a Value

Type the value, or choose it from the dropdown if the field offers one.

    5

    Save the Widget

Save the widget, then click Save changes on the dashboard.

    Combine Conditions: AND and OR

You can stack as many conditions as you need.

    • + AND adds another condition to the same group. A record must match every condition in the group.
    • + Add filter starts a new group. A record counts if it matches all of the conditions in any one group.

Example: To count leads from either Google or Facebook, create two groups. Group 1 is Source is google. Group 2 is Source is facebook.

Important: To use the same field twice, put each value in its own group. Two values of the same field inside one group return nothing, because a record cannot have both values at once.

    Useful Conditions to Set Up

    • Leave out internal contacts. Tag your own test contacts, then add a condition that excludes that tag.
    • Focus on one pipeline or calendar. Limit pipeline and appointment widgets to your main pipeline or calendar so numbers are not mixed.
    • Split by service line. Use a custom field or a tag to show results for one service at a time, such as one widget per service.
    • Keep source reporting consistent. If your widgets offer First Attribution and Latest Attribution, pick one and use it on every source widget so your numbers match.

    Troubleshooting

    • The widget will not save. The filters do not match any records. Loosen a condition or remove one and try again.
    • A linked-field warning appears. Some fields depend on each other, such as a pipeline and its stage. Change one of them so the combination makes sense.
    • The number looks too low. Check for a quick filter left on at the top of the dashboard. Quick filters apply on top of each widget's own conditions.
    • A website visitor widget will not take a second group. Visitor widgets support one filter group only.
