    + Add a Redirect

Setting up a URL redirect is a quick process that ensures your traffic always reaches the right destination.

    Step-by-Step Guide

    1. Navigate to Settings and select URL Redirects.
    2. Click the + Add Redirect button.
    3. Select Domain: Choose the connected domain you want the redirect to apply to.
    4. Enter Path: Specify the old or custom path you want to redirect (e.g., /old-page or /summer-sale).
    5. Target URL: Enter the full URL where you want the visitor to end up (e.g., https://www.yourbusiness.com/new-page).
    6. Select Redirect Type:
      • Permanent (301): Use this if the old page is gone forever. This tells search engines to update their index to the new URL.
      • Temporary (302): Use this for short-term promotions where you might want to use the original URL again later.
    7. Click Save to activate the redirect immediately.

Pro-Tip: Always test your redirects after setting them up! Open an incognito or private browsing window, type in the original path, and ensure it smoothly routes you to the correct target URL.
