In a fast-moving sales and service ecosystem, reaction speed is everything. Missing a text response from a hot prospect or failing to realize a client just booked an emergency support slot directly damages your bottom-line revenue. However, receiving an endless flood of repetitive system alerts can quickly lead to notification fatigue, causing you to overlook critical updates.
The Notification Settings Panel inside your personal profile controls this balance. It allows individual users to adjust exactly how, when, and where they receive system alerts. You can customize your preferences so that high-priority events ring your mobile app instantly, while lower-priority updates remain cleanly organized inside your web dashboard logs.
The Notification Delivery Matrix
To customize your communication alerts, navigate to the bottom of your main left-hand sidebar menu, click the Settings (gear icon), and select My Profile > Notifications.
The platform structures your alert matrices across three distinct delivery channels, allowing you to choose your preferred delivery vehicle for each type of system event:
| Delivery Channel | Operational Environment | Optimal Strategic Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| In-App (Web) | Live browser pop-up cards and the navigation bell icon. | Keeps your workspace clear when managing active conversations at your desktop. |
| Push (Mobile) | Real-time smartphone lock-screen banners via the native mobile app. | Crucial for field sales reps and support agents who need to jump on new leads instantly while on the go. |
| Structured notification summaries dispatched to your user email address. | Ideal for long-form audit trails, daily summaries, or tracking administrative account modifications. |
1. Configuring Your Alert Preferences Step-by-Step
Tailoring your alert triggers ensures that your response speed remains exceptionally fast without cluttering your digital channels.
Navigate to the Personal Alerts Panel 1 min.
Open Settings > My Profile and select the Notifications tab from the upper sub-navigation layout banner.
Configure Core Lead and Conversation Alerts 2 min.
Locate the Conversation Notifications data grid. Use the horizontal checkboxes to set your delivery channel rules:
- Assigned Leads: We strongly recommend enabling both Push and In-App alerts for New Contact Assigned. This ensures you are notified the exact second a hot lead enters your pipeline.
- Inbound Messages: Toggle Inbound Text/Email Reply to active states so you can jump straight into the Unified Inbox the moment a customer texts you back.
Align Your Calendar Booking Reminders 2 min.
Scroll down to the Appointment Event Matrix block. To protect your calendar show-rates, ensure that Appointment Created and Appointment Cancelled updates are toggled On across your primary mobile Push channel. This keeps you perfectly aligned with your daily schedule changes.
Lock and Save Your Custom Alert Rules 1 min.
Review your matrix checkboxes to ensure your channels are balanced cleanly. Scroll to the bottom of the card block and click the green Save Notification Settings button.
2. Managing Opportunity Tracking and Revenue Alerts
Directly below your standard communication toggles lies the Opportunity and Pipeline Status alert drawer. This section lets you map notification events straight to your sales pipeline activity:
When a marketing automation sequence or a team member updates an opportunity card status to Closed-Won, or moves a high-value prospect into a negotiation column, the notification engine fires. Toggling these options On ensures that your sales reps stay motivated with instant success alerts, while providing account executives with clear visibility into high-value deals closing in real time.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
I have all my mobile Push notification checkboxes checked inside the dashboard, so why am I not receiving alerts on my iPhone or Android device?
This behavior is almost always caused by an operating system permission block outside of our software canvas. Even if your settings inside the dashboard are correct, if you clicked "Don't Allow" when first installing our mobile app on your phone, your device will block all incoming banners. To resolve this, open your smartphone's internal System Settings, locate our mobile application profile card, select Notifications, and ensure the master "Allow Notifications" switch is toggled On.
Can an administrative manager configure or overwrite notification preferences for another employee?
Yes! If a team member is missing important leads due to misconfigured alerts, an account administrator can adjust their settings. Navigate to Settings > My Staff, locate the specific employee's row item card, and click Edit. Toggle over to their personal User Permissions and Notification tabs within their staff profile drawer to manually update their alert matrix and click Save.
