Campaigns are legacy automation structures designed specifically for linear, time-based drip sequences. While Workflows offer more advanced visual logic, Campaigns are still useful for simple, straightforward communication drips.
1. Understanding Campaigns
A Campaign is a linear sequence of events (emails, SMS, voicemails) that fire off one after another based on specific time delays.
Time-Based Execution
Events in a campaign are executed based on the time elapsed since the contact was added to the campaign (e.g., Send Email 1 immediately, Send Email 2 after 24 hours).
Stop on Response
You can configure campaigns to automatically stop sending future messages the moment a prospect replies to one of your texts or emails.
2. Setting Up a Campaign
To build a campaign, navigate to Automations > Campaigns and click Create Campaign.
- Add Events: Click "Add Event" to insert an Email, SMS, Call, or Voicemail drop.
- Set Delays: Adjust the "Send After" timeframe for each event to control the pacing of your drip sequence.
- Configure Settings: Open the Campaign Configuration to set specific sending windows (e.g., only send between 8 AM and 5 PM on weekdays).
Pro-Tip
While Campaigns are great for simple drips, we highly recommend migrating your logic to Workflows for maximum flexibility, as Workflows support advanced conditional branching and deeper CRM integrations.
